Good things to know about the Hartland Aquatic Center

We are American Red Cross Preferred Providers, and our guard staff is CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. We are equipped with an AED – Automated External Defibrillator. The Livingston County Red Cross is a largely volunteer organization so please contact them to learn the many ways you can serve your community at (517) 546-0326.

Body fluid contaminations… are an unfortunate fact of life in public pools

Depending on the extent of the contamination, it may be necessary to close a pool for an extended period of time. If this occurs less than halfway through a public swim event, all swimmers will be issued a free pass for a future swim. If the incident occurs later than halfway through the event, there will be no refunds. Though it can be very frustrating when it happens, we request your understanding and cooperation.

About our air, water, and sanitation

Our first responsibility is to maintain a clean and safe environment. The pool deck and locker rooms are sanitized daily.  We have state-of-the-art water systems which are managed by a Certified Pool Operator at all times. The pool water is tested weekly by a state-licensed lab to assure your safety.

Swimmers must shower before entering the pool. Not only is it state law, but thorough showering reduces the amount of chemicals necessary for safe operations.
Spectators sometimes complain about air temperature and humidity in the pool area. They are maintained at levels for the comfort of swimmers, not dry people in street clothes. Spectators are welcome anywhere, but to help maintain cleanliness and safety we don’t allow street shoes on the pool deck.
The average water temperature is the competition pool is 81, leisure pool 86, hot tub 101.
Your suggestions and feedback are welcome!
