Kindergarten
The student will:

·       Know and follow all lab and computer procedures.

·       Know proper use of the computer and major hardware (turn on and off, log in and out, launch and exit programs).

·       Learn basic technology vocabulary.

·       Learn to use a mouse for pointing, clicking, and double-clicking.

·       Use writing and drawing tools to communicate through illustrations.

·       Develop positive attitudes toward technology as a learning tool.

·       Utilize instructional software for cross-curricular skill development.

·       Identify technology in the home and school.

  • Discuss and follow the principles of the district Acceptable Use Policy.

  • Create basic graphic organizers.

  • Access teacher-selected websites through the use of shortcuts.

  • Utilize teacher-selected software to solve problems and make decisions.

  • Identify technology in the neighborhood and community.

  • Perform basic formatting and editing in Word Processing documents and Presentations.

  • Navigate menus to increase productivity.
