Work started last month on the 51 building with the replacement of the existing counter tops and sinks. Lighting motion sensors have been installed in each of the classrooms as well as the commons area in order to conserve energy. The major focus of the project is to replace the existing roof top heating unit with a new more efficient unit - not only for heating but cooling as well. Later in June site work will begin that involves restoration of the hard surface play area as well as much needed drainage control.

2011 Summer Projects

District wide Site Work:

• Creekside Elementary School: Parking lot crack repairs, sealant, restriping and miscellaneous sidewalk repairs.
• Lakes Elementary School: Expansion of the existing parking lot from 15 parking spaces to 51 spaces. A separate entrance and exit for cars only will be created to provide for a safer parent drop off area.
• Farms Intermediate School: A separate entrance is being created just north of the boulevard bus entrance for parent drop off as well as access to the Farms parking lot. This will also separate cars from busses and make for a safer drop area for the students. (2006 Bond Project)
• Round Elementary School: Parking lot expansion to the existing south lot will add an additional 39 parking spaces. Site grading will also take place to help better define the existing drainage swale and improve and control the water draining from the south. Miscellaneous sidewalk repairs will also be done.
• Village Elementary School: An extension of the existing Epley Parking sidewalk toward the school. This will provide safer access to the school and around the north parking lot. The hard surface play area will be removed and replaced as well as some sidewalk repairs.
