General Mills Box TopsW
hat ever happened to the box tops that you cut? Last year's clippings paid BIG - we received $1074 through the General Mills Box Box Top program! This brings the amount that we have raised since 2002 to $6050! For more information on what labels to look for go to www.boxtops4education.com. This website is always running promotions that can benefit both you and your childrens' school. There is a collection box in the office.
Cell Phone Recycling
The PTO is conducting a cell phone recycling fundraiser. There's nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used digital cell phone(s). You can send them via your child's backpack or drop them in the box located in the school office. Ask your family and co-workers if they might have an old phone to donate. Your used cell phones may be tax deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. 100% of the proceeds will help fund the efforts of the PTO. Thanks for your support!
Market DayMarket Day is once again in full swing. This is a great way to get wonderful food and help your school out. Market Day offers delicious food for quick meals. Some customer favorites include: ChicNSteakes, Broccoli Florets, Apple Deep Dish Pie, French Toast Sticks and Pepperoni Pizzatas. Look for your flier to come home every month or go to their website at www.marketday.com. Watch for monthly specials! Check out their promotions and closeout sales! We are always looking for volunteers to help distribute orders every month, so if you can help out, great! Sale set-up begins at 2:45 pm on the day of the sale. We look forward to seeing you there! Target VisaUse your Target Visa and help your school School ID number: 61977 Take Charge of Education, launched in April 1997, brings the Target tradition of giving to the heart of our communities. Since the program was launched, Target has donated over $154 million through fundraising dollars, including more than $16 million during the recent September 2007 donation. Lakes Elementary's check totaled $458.36, bringing our lifetime total to $6700.31. Through the Take Charge of Education program, Target donates an amount equal to 1% of REDcard(SM)(Target Visa and Target Card) purchases made at Target and Target.com and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere, to the eligible school. Currently 120 families have designated Lakes as their chosen organization. So please designate Lakes Elementary of Hartland. This is a great way for grandparents to help out too.
VG's Grocery ReceiptsW
hat ever happened to the VG's Grocery receipts that you collected last year? Last year's total revenue exceeded $250, which is added to the PTO operating budget. This money helps to fund field trips, assemblies and more. We will continue to collect the receipts. Just place your receipts in the box marked VG's in the office. Thank you!
Campbell's Soup LabelsW
hat ever happened to the Campbell's Soup Labels that we saved? After last year's labels were cut and counted, the PTO was able to get tape recorders for several teachers. We will continue to collect the labels so that all teachers who want a recorder will receive one. The labels can be found on various products including Campbell's Soup, Pepperidge Farms, Franco-American, Swanson, Prego and various Market Day Products.
