Child Find

Hartland Consolidated Schools uses two different approaches to address the Child Find requirements identified by federal and state laws. The first, Instructional Consultative Team (ICT) approach is used to enhance, improve, and increase student and staff performance by using a systematic support network within each building. The second, Student Assistance Team (SAT) process, which is a vehicle used to review student performance, concerns, and collaboratively develop interventions.

If parents have concerns about the development of their infant, toddler, or preschool child they should contact the special education office at 810-626-2102 and request a SAT meeting to discuss specific concerns they may have regarding their young child.

If parents have concerns about the development of their school age child, they should contact the child’s classroom teacher or principal to request an ICT or SAT meeting to review specific concerns.
