The department chair person for the Department of Special Education is Carol Hall. The department chair has many responsibilities including:

• Attend monthly Curriculum Council meetings

• Chair bi-monthly department/committee meetings

• Provide leadership in developing goals for the department

• Be a leader and resource person for the department

• Enhance communication across grade levels and departments related to curriculum goals, plans, professional development and issues

• Report to Curriculum Council at the end of the year on progress of goals

• Schedule and facilitate department meetings

• Facilitate with department members an up-to-date inventory of department materials and textbooks

• Serve on the textbook selection committee

• Address other departmental matters as necessary
