Childcare

Our childcare program is available for children starting at age 6 weeks until they start kindergarten. Staff create developmentally appropriate activities and environments for each stage of children’s development. Our classrooms follow the High Scope curriculum model.
 
Our Childcare program is located at the Hartland Early Learning Center, downtown Hartland.

Darling Ducklings - 6 weeks to 1.5 years old

Our littlest learners in the building. Focus is on fostering relationships, encouraging early language through the use of sign language, stories and songs. Encouraging fine and gross motor through sensory and music and movement activities. 
 

Wiggle Worms -  1.5 to 2.5 years old

Large social emotional focus, parallel play and sharing. Introduction to letters, colors and shapes. Hands on learning through sensory and process art.
 

Busy Bees - 2.5 to 3.5 years old

Social emotional focus along with pre literacy learning. Identifying colors, shapes, and numbers.
 

Fire Flies - 3 to 4 years old

Pre-kindergarten readiness skills are introduced. Encouraging letter recognition, and focusing on fine motor skills like holding pencils properly, and cutting. Small group time utilized for focused learning time as well as large groups.
 

Fearless Foxes - 4 to 4.5 years old

Large focus on writing first and last name, letter and phonological awareness. One to one correspondence, recognizing numbers 1-10 and fostering independence. 
 

Critters - 5 years old

 Large focus on writing first and last name and writing numbers and other letters. Preparing children for Kindergarten with social emotional skills and independence.
